HCL Technologies Limited is an Indian multinational information technology (IT) service and consulting company headquartered in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. It is a subsidiary of HCL Enterprise. Originally a research and development division of HCL, it emerged as an independent company in 1991 when HCL entered into the software services business.

 

HCL Technologies is on the Forbes Global 2000 list. It is among the top 20 largest publicly traded companies in India with a market capitalisation of $18.7 billion as of May 2017.As of May 2018, the company, along with its subsidiaries, had a consolidated revenue of $7.8 billion.The company has offices in 44 countries including the United States, France and Germany, and the United Kingdom with a worldwide network of R&D, "innovation labs" and "delivery centers", and 137,000+ employees and its customers include 250 of the Fortune 500 and 650 of the Global 2000 companies.

 

 Shiv Nadar, started a company that would make personal computers. Initially floated as Microcomp Limited, Nadar and his team (which also included Arjun Malhotra, Ajai Chowdhry, D.S. Puri, Yogesh Vaidya and Subhash Arora) started selling teledigital calculators to gather capital for their main product. On 11 August 1976, the company was renamed Hindustan Computers Limited (HCL).

A perfect selection process can help to pick the most eligible candidates amongst all applicants.HCL conducts on campus as well as off campus drives.

The difficulty level of the aptitude section is high.Time management is crucial as this section can be Time-Consuming.It is important to solve the HCL Quantitative Ability Section with high accuracy to score high.Calculation mistakes should be avoided.The strategy is to identify easier questions and solve them first.

Hiring Criteria

Graduation Criteria for Placement:

1) B.E / B.Tech  in circuit branches only (CSE/ECE/IT/EEE/EI ).

2) Engineering candidates who have passed out in the year 2018 & 2017 are eligible to apply.

3) M.Sc graduates in Computer Science &  Information technology can apply.

4) MCA graduates are also eligible to apply.

5) BCA/B.Sc in Mathematics, Statistics, Electronics, Computer Science can also apply for certain roles.

6) The graduation should be a Full-Time course recognized by Central/State government of India.

 

 

Academic Criteria for Campus Placement:

1) A candidate must have more than 60% marks in 10th and 12th (or diploma).

2) A candidate must have a minimum of 60% marks in graduation.

3) A maximum gap of 1 year is permissible after HSC(12th) and not after SSC(10th) or in between semesters of graduation.

4) A candidate should not have any pending backlogs at the time of appearing for HCL selection process.

1) A candidate must have more than 65% marks in 10th and 12th (or diploma).

2) A candidate must have a minimum of 65% marks in graduation.

3) A maximum gap of 1 year is permissible after HSC(12th) and not after SSC(10th) or in between semesters of graduation.

4) A candidate should not have any pending backlogs at the time of appearing for HCL selection process.

 

 

Documents required:

1) All original mark sheets related to SSC (10th), Intermediate(12th) and Graduation are required to be produced at the time of interview. Also, please carry a copy of set of all documents at the time of interview.

2) A copy of candidate's updated resume.

3) Passport size photographs.

4) An original identification proof issued by the government of India (Aadhar Card, Pan Card, Voter id, Passport etc.)

Selection Process

Folloowing is the Selection Process of HCL:

The Online Aptitude test covers the following three sections:
  • Verbal Ability
  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • Logical Reasoning
 
Technical Interview

Questions are asked to know the understanding of the technical work required to be completed as part of the job applied for or may enquire candidates to solve actual technical problems that they would be likely to face if employed. It is limited to the project mentioned in resume and some basic OOPs questions. 

 

 HR Interview

It helps to determine a candidate's personality. Questions can be of wide range starting from your introduction, Qualification, Experience, Industry specific experience, Courses done, your strengths and weaknesses, salary expectations, friends, family etc. . Be ready to take questions based on your CV - internships, projects, volunteerships and co-curricular activities.

Never say No when interviewer asks - Do you have any questions for me? Ask about company's culture and progress associated or something you want to know.
