Sopra Steria Group SA (commonly referred to as Sopra Steria) is a European information technology consultancy established in September 2014 upon the merger of Sopra Group SA and Groupe Steria SCA (commonly referred to as Sopra and Steria, respectively). Technically, Sopra was the company to adopt the new name, retaining its legal personality.

 

Sopra is one of Europe's longest established IT service companies. In March 2014, Sopra Group became Sopra. In April 2014, Sopra announced a merger with Steria in an attempt to create the European leader in computer services. Sopra is a consulting, IT services and software development company. Its subsidiary Sopra Banking Software develops and distributes software for the financial services market. Sopra employs more than 16,000 people and generated a turnover of 1.349 billion euro in 2013.

 

Pierre Pasquier  is the CEO and co-founder of Sopra Steria, as well as the chairman of its subsidiary, Axway.

 

Groupe Steria SCA was founded in 1969, was based in Issy-les-Moulineaux, France, had a revenue of €1.75 billion in 2013 and had more than 20 000 employees. was a multinational information technology services company headquartered in Issy-les-Moulineaux, France. It delivers IT enabled business services, focusing on key vertical market sectors: public services, finance, telecommunications, utilities and transport. The company provides consulting services for its clients' core business processes, and also develops and operates their information systems.

Hiring Criteria

Eligibility Criteria:

  • B.E/ B.Tech (CS/IT)/MCA.
  • No active back-logs.
  • X/ XII/ Engineering or MCA to be greater than 70/70/60.
  • Should not have more than 2 years of gap in the academic career.

 

Documents Required:

  • Must carry the latest passport size photocopies.
  • Mark sheet of 10th and 12th.
  • Certificates of Graduation and Post Graduation.
  • Original and Xerox copy of the photo identity proof.
  • Latest updated Resume.

 

Important points to be noted:

  • Candidates need to be flexible to work in locations other than Bangalore including outside India
  • Candidates willing to commit for 30 months need only apply

Online Aptitude Test

It consists of questions on Quant, Critical Reasoning, Logical Reasoning. Questions are generally based on time & works, percentages, data sufficiency.

 

Group Discussion

GD sessions include simple questions and industry related topics or general topics as well. You need to think for some time about the topic and then discuss it. The topics are general and don’t need specific preparation.

 

Interview

 

Technical Interview

Questions are asked to know the understanding of the technical work required to be completed as part of the job applied for or may enquire candidates to solve actual technical problems that they would be likely to face if employed. It is limited to the project mentioned in resume and some basic OOPs questions. CS students will be expected to write codes in the interview.

 

 HR Interview

It helps to determine a candidate's personality. Questions can be of wide range starting from your introduction, Qualification, Experience, Industry specific experience, Courses done, your strengths and weaknesses, salary expectations, friends, family etc. . Be ready to take questions based on your CV - internships, projects, volunteerships and co-curricular activities.

Never say No when interviewer asks - Do you have any questions for me? Ask about company's culture and progress associated or something you want to know.
